"Take me out to the ball game, take me out with the crowd!"
Playoff baseball is upon us! In case you can't actually make it to the ball game (and who can blame you when Stubhub nosebleed tickets for Game 3 of Mets vs. Dodgers are north of $250), here's your cocktail lineup for your house party. Good luck to your Astros, Blue Jays, Cardinals, Cubs, Dodgers, Mets, Pirates, Rangers, Royals, or Yankees!
2 oz tequila
1 oz cranberry juice
1 tbs lime juice
2 oz club soda
In honor of fictional Cleveland Indians pitcher Ricky Vaughn, this tequila cocktail will have you throwing 100mph fastballs in no time (well, you will in your mind at least).
Pour tequila, cranberry, and lime into a glass filled with ice. Stir and add club soda to top if off.
1/2 oz sweet vermouth
1/2 oz dry vermouth
1 oz gin
1 mint sprig
This Hall of Fame cocktail is a strong, minty drink that will get your guests fired up as you approach the World Series. Be sure to shake all the ingredients with ice. Strain into a glass and then add mint. Easy as 1-2-3.
The Golden Glove
2 oz Gold Rum
1/2 oz Fresh Lime Juice
1 tsp Cointreau
1 tsp Sugar
Orange peel and ice
You can be as clutch as a Golden Glove fielder with this rum cocktail that is popular in baseball-crazed Havana, Cuba.
Mix everything in a blender along with crushed ice until it's smooth. Garnish with a lime and enjoy!
